Travel

Ocean City, MD
2008
* I used to have a really nice group shot from this trip, but I have no idea where it is

Alpine Lake, WV
2009

Deep Creek Lake, MD
2006
*We have had 11 trips to DCL with the same group of friends over the last 6 years. We have a lot of pics from these trips which I am sure will end up in it's own post since we go again this May. I tried to find the oldest pic, and this is all I could find!

New York, NY
2009

Atlantic City, NJ
2009
We like doing action jump shots.

Venice, Italy
2009

I only have 2 group shots from Munich. The one below at the Hoffbrauhaus and this one of our feet after a muddy bike ride.

Munich, Germany
2009

Mike's brother lives in Garmisch, so we stayed with them for a few days. This is us with his nephew, Luke.

If we had a band, this would be the cover to our album

Garmisch, Germany
2009

Paris, France
2009

Salzburg, Austria
2009
We went to Europein May and spent 2 weeks traveling through several different countries. A lot of our group shots are at pubs, so I tried to include some extra pics of each place, so you can see we did more things than just taste the delicious beer! This was Joe's second time going to all of these places since he backpacked Europe after college. I think the only new place for him was Salzburg.

Maroma, Mexico
2008
This was one of our favorite trips and also where Mike and Emily got engaged!

Ocean Pines, MD
New Years 2007
We couldn't afford an OC rental during New Years, so we settled for the Pines. Our intention was to hit OC for the NY's Eve, but ended up never leaving the house!

Outerbanks, NC
2007
We rented a house with a theater room, an elevator, and lots of ridiculously tacky things(also known as beach house decor) plastered all over the walls.

Joe and I have been married for six years and for the first two years, I was in Nursing school. So for the past four years, one of our main priorities has been traveling. We got really lucky four years ago when became friends with Mike and Emily, because they like to travel and experience things as much as we do. So all of these trips have been with them and Steph and Kevin. We also are lucky to have a big group of friends that we have done repeat trips with. We have developed traditions and have created so many memories that I am sure you will hear more about! We are so thankful for our friends and how they are always up for a weekend away! So here's what I can remember in random order...

New Orleans.2

The fountain at Jackson Square.

I think half of us thought it was silly picture time!

We found this gorgeous hotel and Mike managed to sneak us up to the balcony level for an awesome view and quick drink before dinner. Joe sat in a big chair overlooking the street and kept quoting Matthew Maconahay from "A Time to Kill".

Steph enjoying the Street Car ride to the Garden District. (my fav outing)

We had to bust out our Single Ladies dance for the crowd!

That's right... Karaoke! We started out so sweet and shy. Well, me at least. Shy is not really in Steph's vocabulary.

What's this sign you ask???

The last night it rained, but we got some cool pics from our covered balcony.

Our best group shot from the first night on Bourbon St. We are right in front of a stage with a band playing some good cover songs. We gave the camera to Joe to try and take one with all of us, and then guitar player bent over, grabbed the camera and snapped this shot!

I should have posted these pics in order with the days we were there, but I am still learning the best way to share pics with you! We went from Friday morning to Monday night, so it was a good 4 days of exploring the city, eating delicious food, and enjoying the nightlife!

New Orleans.1

Prettiest. Store. Ever.

The tire swings at Margaritaville were a lot of fun, but very tricky to get into for those of us wearing dresses!

Enjoying Begneits at Cafe du Monde. The street was covered in powder sugar!

Ran into the end of a cool street show by the water.

Brunch at a place I can't remember the name of. We are really miserably hot despite the fake smiles. But the mimosas made us much happier!

We went to the NO School of Cooking class and learned how to make jambalaya, gumbo, and pralines. The special seasonings they used were named after Joe and Kevin!

This past weekend we traveled to The Big Easy with our friends Mike, Emily, my sister Stephanie, and her boyfriend Kevin. This pic makes it look like we traveled to Disneyworld, but it is in fact Jackson Square in the French Quarter.

Cosby the Cat

The Cute Husband

Welcome to our (my) first ever blog! I have no idea who will have any interest in following anything I post, but I know at least my Mom will appreciate it. I have been reading several blogs over the last few years. Many are friends from the past and it has been a nice way to stay in the loop. But, I realized recently that no one has a way to stay in my loop! So, even though I don't have any adorable pics of babies, kids, or dogs to post yet... I do have a really cute husband, a cat who I pretend is my baby, two incredibly supportive loving families, and crazy friends who keep me laughing and loving every day! So hopefully, I will figure out this blog business quickly and be able to share and post more!
