Handy Man Loses Part of Hand!

**WARNING**
The following post contains graphic images not suitable for those with weak stomachs. Wussies!
While I was at work, Joe and Kevin spent their Sunday afternoon working on construction in the nursery. I received a phone call around 6pm from my sister calming explaining that there had been accident with the circular saw and that Joe was ok but part of his finger had been cut. They were on their way to the ER and would call me asap. She said that Joe couldn't talk to me at that point so I knew that was a bad sign. But Kevin and Steph took great care of him, wrapping his finger and applying pressure, making sure he had a matching shirt to go with his bathing suit on the way out and getting him medical help very quickly.
Turns out he manged to cut off the side of his index finger including some of the bone. There really wasn't anything to suture back on but they ended up suturing some of the necrotic tissue on just to use as protection as it healed. So far the nail hasn't grown back much but it's probably just still in shock! It looks far better today than it did a few weeks ago and it's hardly painful at all per Joe.
So thankfully it was a minor accident and the only lasting effect is a very hearty and healthy fear of power tools.
