Deep Creek Wedding: Day One

Our friends, Mike and Emily got married on September 18th at Deep Creek Lake. Joe was a groomsman and Steph and I were co-Maids of Honor. It was a great weekend and the weather was amazing on the day of the wedding! So here is the first part of the trip...

We left on Wednesday night for the Iskows house at Alpine Lake with me, Joe and Steph in the truck and Mike and Emily in their car. We had a LOT of stuff to transport and a four hour ride there. We stopped at Longhorn Steakhouse for dinner and had a really funny waitress who hit a little boy in the head with a water pitcher, got every single one of our dinner orders incorrect, and once we asked for boxes for all our leftovers, she suggested we take some beano with us for the rest of the car ride. :)

Getting ready to leave in front of Mike and Emily's house. Which can now be called the Cheman's house. Kevin couldn't come up with us due to work conflicts. But it was for the best because there really wasn't room for his head in the car.

Packed to the brim. With a wedding dress on top!

So sad about her tight travel space. This is same look she gave when she was forced to sit in the back of the minivan with Josh because I was the awesome older sister who claimed the middle row all to myself for trips to the beach.

Our driver for the daytime part of the trip.

Almost newlyweds.

The origins of Alpine Pong started at this table, in this house, with these teams. And we have played with the same teams for the last year and a half and this is the team that always loses. Every squirrel finds a nut and every once in awhile this team finds a cup, but in general, my team prevails.

A few messups before we captured that perfect jump shot. You think we would have perfected it by now but it was a new camera!

We got it!
